as oupa so sê

as oupa so sê seeks to explore the notions around memory-as-identity, and forgetting-as-identity.

The performance collages various elements over each other, including recordings of notes I wrote to my grandfather about memories I have shared with him; my grandfather recalling his own history; video footage of my grandparents making tea and footage of performances in which I attempted to forget these memories.

This piece formed a part of Arcade2020, an online group exhibition where multidisciplinary artists exhibited short video artworks and performance films.
